Each individual table has the option of a glass insert or a cushion insert. Order a tastefully designed storage box to keep them safely and discretely tucked out of the way. Locking catches hold the individual tables together, so they appear as one large cocktail table.
The Contemporary Furniture idea of Flexure was conceived in 1994,by David Margonelli, when commissioned to build a bench on which to sit and hold a drink. Out of this need to combine seat and surface came two small curved tables that would fit together as one; one with a cushion,one with a glass top.

The client had an east facing sleeping loft. The problem was too much sun at 6 am. The solution became an extended screen that could be folded during the rest of the day. The screen can be made in any number of panels and any combination of woods.

The curves in Flexure furniture are very functional. Convex curves create the illusion that the pieces are smaller than they actually are and the concave curves appear larger. Combined the two different shapes form a continuous curve that makes a unified whole from the two pieces of furniture.
